Aperture

In class we went outside to test out different apertures and how they change a photo. Aperture is how big the opening in the camera is. A bigger Aperture (f2 for example), lets in more light and makes the background of the picture blurry. This makes your eyes focus on the subject. A small aperture (f22 for example) let's in less light and focuses on everything in the photo. This is great for showing the whole story for newspapers or yearbooks.
