Intro To Photoshop

Today we started a unit on Photoshop in class. We started by adding sky to the top of the photo below to make it a portrait instead of landscape. It was review for me because I learned it last year in website design class.
We learned about 'The Matrix', which is the difference between saving images for print and web. Again this was review for me.
Basically, when creating a photo to put on a website, color mode should be RGB, Resolution should be 72 PPI, and it should be saved as a .jpg or .png.
While creating an image for print, the color mode should by CYMK, resolution should be 300 DPI, and it should be saved as a .tif.

For the one below, we edited a robot arm. We selected it, and put it on a gradient background. Then we edited out a few rags that were left on the machine.

The next one, we took out people and telephone wires to make the composition better.
